Black Moon Lilith to the Rescue

Meet Black Moon Lilith. I call her the Void Dancer. My vision of her is the Dark One who dances in the Emptiness where there is only pure potential. She gathers the Dark Void into herself and gives it form. Black Moon Lilith is the Great Womb, the one who births everything from atoms to galaxies, from human beings to microbes.

Black Moon Lilith stands for the Goddess Before Patriarchy.

She is the Female principle present at the beginning of all things, and the male principle is within her, a spark of co-creation. She is the one who births and brings form from the place of emptiness to existence and life. She is the Great Mystery and Everyday Magic of Life.

Black Moon Lilith shows us how to heal the wounds of abuse and repression of Lilith asteroid. She shows us how to channel and transmute the rage, terror, and destruction we fear with the Lilith Star.

These two aspects of Lilith wake us up. (I describe them in the last two letters.)

We wake up because we feel the pain of our suppressed power, deferred desire, abuse and servitude.

We wake up as we allow the anger to boil because we’ve been lied to, and our birthright power as feminine creator was hidden – no, STOLEN – from us.

This birthright power is our sexuality.

The female body and SELF that

  • desires,

  • feels cosmic pleasure through orgasm,

  • that gathers new life from the void and gives birth

  •  holds the keys to the gates of life and death.

Patriarchy demonized the feminine and usurped her power.

Black Moon Lilith shows us how to remember and integrate the our birthright power.

Use Your Imagination

I’d love to share what Black Moon Lilith revealed to me as I prepared for my Croning ceremony.

** Imagine the love and desire that longs to experience the sumptuousness of being alive in a body.

Lilith dances in the Dark and gives birth to Earth (and all the stars and planets).

The old stories describe the Garden she made: a fertile zone where food, shelter, water, air, and everything that life needs grew in abundance and harmony.

She created an image of herself to tend the garden and fully experience its beauty with all her senses. She created the first woman and called her Lilith.

Lilith knew she was Divine Embodied. She knew her purpose was to grow and maintain the Garden’s fertility and fruitfulness. She was given a male counterpart to embody the masculine creative principle – the spark of fire. Together they shared the pleasure of having bodies, and tending this fertile fragrant garden of Earth.

– > Now comes the moment in our tale where the male is not satisfied. The story says that he named everything in creation, and therefore he was under the delusion that he made it all.

He demanded that Lilith submit to him, turn over her powers, and lie beneath him during sex. A potent metaphor of conquest and control.

Lilith refused to deny her Divinity, and give over her powers. Rather than submit, Lilith left.

I had questions for Lilith.

Carla: When you left the Garden, you lost the narrative. First they demonized you, then they erased your from the story.

Why did you leave? We call it soul-deep integrity… but was that your only choice?

Lilith: YES. To stay would be to give away my Divinity. I am the Goddess. I created everything. I still do. If I did not leave and maintain my integrity, nothing would exist.
I could not remain in my beloved garden on their terms.
I returned to the Void. I dance and gather the substance and bring it through my body to create the world of form.

A demonized goddess is still the Goddess.

That people forgot me does not keep me from my power of Creation.

I am still HERE. I belong HERE. You are HERE, because I left.

I call you to work with me to create again the Garden upon the Earth. I made you, I choose you.

Women have a direct line to Black Moon Lilith. It’s our Womb. We learn to meet her in the portal where new life and new ideas are gathered from the Void and born into this world.

It is a great mystery that is natural to women, as we begin to remember and heal.

Black Moon Lilith is your mentor.
